My name is Lin, a musician, composer and highly experienced teacher with Qualified Teacher Status. My years of experience teaching and leading in schools, as well as the current networking I do with fellow piano teachers around the world on a regular basis, ensures that my outstanding teaching remains current and up to date. 

 

It is a privilege to help many students thrive, including those with special educational needs, on their musical journey. Students have started as beginners and worked with me right up to late intermediate level where they are confident sight-readers and performers playing in ensembles, church and recitals, accompanying, composing, improvising and have developed confidence and transferable skills that benefit them greatly outside of their piano and keyboard lessons.

I want your lessons to be fun and rewarding. My teaching does not focus purely on classical music. I deliver your lessons with the very best method books and teaching resources, challenges, activities, games and fantastic repertoire tailored to your musical preference and skill level, suitable for all learning styles. I provide opportunity for those that wish to sit an examination or perform in public but there is no pressure to do so.

 

As a member of the Independent Society of Musicians, I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, abiding by ISM's safeguarding policies to ensure students can thrive in a safe and inclusive environment.
